Jan Fitschen
Jan Fitschen has collected championship titles like some people collect stamps. He was German champion seven times in a row in the 3000m indoor run alone. But he also achieved success in the 5 and 10 km events, as well as in the 10 km street race. His personal high point was his victory at the 2006 European Athletics Championships in the 10,000m run. Due to an operation he had to put an end to his competitive sports career, and today is mainly working as a trainer and consultant.
